Try to imagine this piece being played at the beginning of a BBC nightly news programme. The music was written to a storyboard and had to be bright and memorable but with quite a big sound. The brief asked for 15-20 seconds of music followed by a headline sequence for 15 seconds with a music 'bed' underneath. Finally, the piece had to end with a 3-5 second sting.
